David A.N. Siegel, MD
Confidential & Discreet
Format of Care
I see patients in person at my office at 23 West 73rd Street, Suite 101, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and by video. Both formats are available on an ongoing basis.
I am available by phone for emergencies around the clock. When medically necessary, initial medical stabilization can be managed entirely by phone and video, allowing most patients to continue working throughout.
Insurance
I do not accept insurance directly. I am an out-of-network provider. Patients who have out-of-network mental health and substance use benefits may be eligible for partial reimbursement from their insurance carrier — I can provide documentation to support that process.
I am not a Medicare provider. My fees are not reimbursable by Medicare.
Prescriptions
Prescriptions are written as part of ongoing treatment. I prescribe FDA-approved medications for the management of withdrawal, stabilization, and long-term taper. I do not prescribe controlled substances outside of an established treatment relationship.
Confidentiality
My practice is structured to protect privacy at every level. There are no office staff, no waiting rooms, no shared administrative systems. Clinical records are maintained privately and are not shared with third parties except as required by law.
Patients who submit claims to a private insurance carrier should be aware that doing so involves disclosure to that carrier. Patients who prefer complete confidentiality and are able to pay privately will find that this practice is designed with that in mind.
